Personal Protection Dogs, based in Nottingham and serving the whole of the UK, provide expert police dog training to all breeds, especially German Shepherds, from twelve weeks of age. Our team will complete an assessment with your pet to assess skill level, commands already learnt and determine the level of training required. We’ll even provide you with a free lead and collar to help with your canine’s development throughout the duration of the course.
All our training is one-to-one and covers general obedience to ensure that your dog is fully house trained, socialised and taught not to chew or scratch anything within your property. Once they have learnt to “sit”, “stay”, “down”, recall and food refusal, our Police K9 training will begin for whichever speciality you require.
We provide a number of different service dog training courses, including search and rescue, victim recovery and both proactive and passive drug and explosive detection. Our team can also provide specialist patrol and guard training alongside security canine handling for the security sector. All of our training includes a full handover to ensure that you’re a firm and confident handler and that the animal listens to your commands.
Our Assistant and PTSD dog training regimes prepare dogs to support their owners struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD therapy dogs can provide a lifeline for sufferers, alongside independence and emotional support. Our PTSD canine training includes obedience training as standard and requires them to pass a public access course.
